About Abbie
Abbie is a RAMP registered, Level 7 qualified veterinary physiotherapist caring for horses and dogs across Sussex. She is driven by a lifelong love of animals and a belief that thoughtful, evidence-based physiotherapy makes a real difference to their comfort, movement and quality of life.

My obsession with horses began at about 6 years old, where a healthy dose of green-eyed envy occurred watching my brother ride (apparently, I was too young, but to a 6-year-old that wasn’t a good enough excuse). I found any way I could to spend time and eventually take riding lessons with some of the local horses. By age 12 I was lucky enough to get my first Saturday job on a yard which allowed me to get my first share horse and I haven’t stopped working with horses since. This time spent with horses showed me just how complicated these amazing animals are, and there is always more to learn. Every horse has taught me something in life, and that is what fuels my passion to help them through expert and research backed care, leading me to my journey to becoming a veterinary physiotherapist.
Outside of the equine world I love hiking, travelling and wild swimming all accompanied by the dogs, from the south downs to the UK 3 national peaks as well as a few of the friendlier ‘mountains’ in the Pyrenees and Italian alps. These trips are always accompanied by Ferris the schnauzer and sometimes Millie the lurcher, though these days Millie has taken to the life of leisure taking up ample spaces on the sofa waiting to hear Ferris’ stories from his adventures

Abbie takes a holistic, whole animal approach, looking at how your animal moves and functions as a whole rather than treating one area in isolation. She works on veterinary referral for all prehabilitation & rehabilitation cases and does not diagnose.
Every visit combines hands on treatment with tailored exercises you can continue at home or at the yard.
