What is veterinary physiotherapy?
Veterinary physiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of an animal's muscles, joints and soft tissues to support movement, comfort and function. Working alongside your vet, it can help horses and dogs recover from injury or surgery, manage long term conditions, and stay comfortable and mobile as they age or perform.

What happens at a visit
Every visit occurs at your home or yard and begins with a full assessment of how your animal moves and functions. Abbie then uses a range of hands on techniques alongside tailored exercises, taking a holistic, whole animal approach.
You may be shown case-specific exercises to continue between visits, to support your animal's progress.
Working with your vet
Veterinary physiotherapy for a known condition is carried out strictly under veterinary referral, before any treatment begins your vets consent is required. Maintenance visits do not legally require veterinary consent; However, in some cases Abbie may decide veterinary consent is preferable, this will be considered on a case by case basis and will be discussed with the owner prior to any veterinary communication. Please note physiotherapists can not diagnose conditions.
